Can my pet use Clenil Modulite (Beclometasone Dipropionate)?
Yes. Clenil Modulite, or Beclometasone Dipropionate, is a human medicine, but is also sometimes prescribed by veterinarians for animal use. Your pet should only be given Clenil Modulite if it has been prescribed it by their veterinarian.
What is Clenil Modulite used for in animals?
Clenil Modulite can be used to improve breathing in animals, particularly if caused by asthma or other respiratory conditions. It contains the active ingredient Beclometasone Dipropionate, which is a type of medicine called a corticosteroid. Corticosteroids work by reducing inflammation in the lungs and airways, making it easier to breathe.
How do I give my pet Clenil Modulite?
Clenil Modulite is given by inhalation using a special inhaler device designed for animals (i.e. a spacer). The number of inhalations and the strength of the medicine will be determined by your veterinarian, and you should always follow their dosage instructions when giving it to your pet.
